Why I like this pattern: This pattern is perfect for those of us who pre-starch our fabrics. With most layer cake patterns, pre-starching means your blocks will be too small but this pattern doesn’t use the full 10” square. You can pre-starch your little heart out!
I also like how easy it is to scale this pattern. 1 layer cake is perfect for a baby quilt. Two layer cakes is enough for a twin size.
